Recently shipped GPT-5.6 to Microsoft 365 Copilot, launched GPT-Live voice, and introduced ChatGPT Work.

GPT-5.6 became the preferred model in Microsoft 365 Copilot. Users across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chat will see the flagship model series. The limited preview of GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna continues, with Amazon Bedrock adding all three. GPT-5.5 Instant brought frontier health intelligence to free users, with performance comparable to thinking models on health evaluations.

GPT-Live launched as a new generation of voice models. Built on a full-duplex architecture that listens and speaks simultaneously, GPT-Live powers ChatGPT Voice with more natural back-and-forth, including listening cues and silence when needed. It delegates complex queries to frontier models.

ChatGPT Work, an agent for ambitious cross-app tasks, entered preview. Work gathers information across apps and files, stays with projects for hours, and produces finished sheets, slides, docs, and web apps. More than 5 million people use Codex weekly; over 1 million non-developers now use it for work outside software development.

Codex merged into the ChatGPT desktop app on macOS and Windows. Users can edit Markdown and code inline, review pull requests in the sidebar, and work across repositories in one project. Codex Remote reached GA with authenticated QR pairing and a new DigitalOcean plugin. Codex Record & Replay on macOS turns demonstrated workflows into reusable skills.

Codex CLI 0.144.0 added usage-limit reset credit redemption, writes app-approval mode, and interactive MCP authentication. Remote plugins became default in 0.143.0, with system proxy support for authentication and Responses API traffic.

ChatGPT Enterprise gained credit usage analytics and updated spend controls.

ChatGPT for iOS added Codex task management, per-host personality settings, SSH private key support, and a workspace file browser. The app also added file previews, inline photo/camera pickers, and LaTeX rendering in Codex messages.

SDK releases added GPT-5.6 Sol updates and new APIs across Python, Node, and Go. The Node SDK v6.47.0 introduced async event iterators and fromReadableStream for ResponseStream.
