Three product tracks ship in parallel: Gemini's API, CLI, and SDKs; the Chrome browser across all channels; and Workspace, where the bulk of the changelog reads as Gemini-in-Workspace plumbing rather than feature work on Docs/Sheets/Meet themselves.

Gemini CLI ran a stable v0.41 train and a v0.42 preview/nightly track in parallel. Multiple v0.41.x patches landed alongside a v0.42.0-preview.[0-2] cadence and daily v0.42.0-nightly.* tags. The first-party SDKs googleapis/python-genai (v1.74→v1.75) and googleapis/js-genai (v1.51→v1.52) shipped weekly minors; the deprecated google-gemini/generative-ai-{python,js} mirrors stayed archived. The Gemini API itself shut down gemini-robotics-er-1.5-preview, the largest visible deprecation in the window.

Chrome pushed the multi-channel firehose through 148. Stable, Beta, Dev, and Long-Term Support updates landed across Desktop, Android, iOS, ChromeOS, and ChromeOS Flex. Developer-facing notes covered DevTools changes for Chrome 148 and a Container Timing origin trial.

Workspace's release stream was overwhelmingly AI/agent surface. Custom instructions for Gemini in Docs, an AI control center for managing agent access to Workspace data, customization for AI-generated meeting notes, and explicit-consent flows for Gemini in Meet (Take Notes, recordings, transcripts) all shipped. New Agent tools and security updates dropped for Workspace developers; bulk client-side-encrypted Drive import went GA; audit logs gained new event fields. Workspace Studio improvements to Meet and Calendar time-blocking rounded out the non-AI changes.
