Recently shipped Salesforce Service Cloud Voice omnichannel support, Verify Custom Templates GA, and a public-beta Webhook Configuration API.

Salesforce Service Cloud Voice now handles SMS and WhatsApp. Route messaging through Twilio TaskRouter into the Salesforce Omni-Channel widget using the same presence, skills, and capacity model as voice, and run messaging and calls concurrently in one agent console.

Messaging throughput gets seasonal guardrails. Twilio's Heightened Awareness Period runs November 19, 2026 through January 4, 2027. Sending rates to U.S. destinations may be limited at the account level for toll-free, short code, and 10DLC numbers, and high-volume short code and toll-free senders may be temporarily moved to Market Throughput.

Verify Custom Templates went GA. Custom SMS/RCS and Voice verification messages are now supported beyond the default or pre-approved options.

Webhook delivery gained per-URL authentication. The public-beta Webhook Configuration API splits into Webhook Settings and Webhook Rules, covering OAuth 2.0 client-credentials tokens, Bearer headers, Shared Key signatures, plus configurable timeouts and retries.

Toll-Free Verification will require privacy policy and terms URLs. New submissions on or after September 15, 2026 are rejected without privacy_policy_url and terms_and_conditions_url. Existing verified numbers are unaffected.

ElevenLabs voices reached Say in public beta. Flash v2 and v2.5 text-to-speech, selected via REST API or a TwiML Bin. SendGrid Link Branding also began provisioning and hosting its own SSL certificate through the setup toggle and an auto_ssl API parameter.

Java Helper Library 13.0.0 is a required upgrade. Versions 10.0.0 through 12.1.1 fail with ApiConnectionException when a nested response carries an unrecognized field, so any new optional API field can break parsing without warning. Version 13 ignores unknown fields and includes breaking changes — follow the upgrade guide. Voice Recording Storage billing is also migrating to an updated system.
