Point-in-time editing makes the canvas dynamically update as you scrub the timeline, showing only elements active at that timestamp instead of all elements across a scene. Editors can click object tracks to move the playhead, and no longer need to split scenes to manage multiple timed objects. The behavior is default for all sessions with no admin or end user setting, rolling out gradually from September 29 for Rapid Release domains and from October 13 for Scheduled Release domains.

Google Sheets now supports High-Low-Close and Open-High-Low-Close stock charts, condensing each period's price points into a single marker. Excel files containing HLC and OHLC stock charts are now preserved on import instead of being dropped.

Markdown (.md or .markdown) files can now be viewed, edited, and collaborated on directly in Google Docs, and rendered previews with clickable links and tables are available in Drive. Secondary calendars for non-personal Workspace accounts now follow the lifecycle of their owner: when a user account is deleted, calendars they own are deleted too, and when a user is suspended, their owned secondary calendars are suspended. Ownership must be transferred before the original owner's account is deleted or suspended to preserve a secondary calendar.

Skills, reusable custom instructions built on the Markdown-native SKILL.md standard, roll out to Workspace starting October 5 and to the Gemini app starting October 13. Gems support is gradually removed, with business and enterprise Gems unusable no sooner than March 1, 2027 and education Gems no sooner than June 1, 2027; Workspace Studio flows using the Ask a Gem step stop working at that time and remaining Gems are auto-migrated to draft skills in the Gemini app. Skills do not sync between the Gemini app and Workspace, so they must be created separately in each.
