Recently shipped React Aria as a component base, server-side registry search, Toast, Questionnaire, and open-sourced @shadcn/helpers.

React Aria is now a first-class component base in shadcn/ui, alongside Base UI and Radix. Pick it via --base aria, presets, or shadcn/create; all eight styles work, and Aria state selectors and dependencies stay scoped to the Aria registry. Existing Base UI and Radix components are unchanged.

Questionnaire shipped for multi-step flows. Supports fixed, freeform, multiple, and skippable answers, and works with Base UI, React Aria, and Radix across all eight styles. Use it for agent clarification prompts, onboarding, surveys, and intake forms.

Registries can handle search server-side. shadcn search forwards query parameters to the registry and uses paginated results as-is, so large registries no longer download the full catalog. Dynamic search is opt-in; static registries keep working unchanged.

@shadcn/helpers is open source. The AI SDK helper's createChat runs a conversation written in code through the real useChat lifecycle — no model, API key, API route, or network request needed. Native messages and streaming events behave as they do in production.

Toast and shadcn/typeset expand the UI toolkit. Toast is built on Base UI primitives, chat components handle streaming layouts, and typeset styles rendered markdown with one class. Base UI remains the default for new projects; Radix is fully supported.
