Recently shipped human-in-the-loop testing for the AI SDK helper, private GitHub registries, and the questionnaire component.

Registries now work with private GitHub repositories. If you can read a repo, the CLI can install from it. Already logged into the GitHub CLI? Zero configuration — credentials stay inside gh and never enter the shadcn process. Public repos continue to work, and server-side search (shadcn search) forwards query parameters to large registries instead of downloading the full catalog.

@shadcn/helpers can mock human-in-the-loop flows. A scripted conversation pauses for real user input, waits for approval, then continues with the user's decision — all through the real useChat lifecycle, so tool cards and approval prompts behave as in production. No model, API key, or network request.

Chat components shipped for streaming interfaces. MessageScroller, Message, Bubble, Attachment, and Marker cover the conversation layer: scrolling, message rows, bubbles, attachments, and markers. First phase of a larger effort.

React Aria is now a first-class component base. Pick it via --base aria, presets, or shadcn/create; all eight styles work, and Aria state selectors and dependencies stay scoped to the Aria registry. Base UI remains the default for new projects; Radix is fully supported.

Questionnaire shipped for multi-step flows. Supports fixed, freeform, multiple, and skippable answers across Base UI, React Aria, and Radix — for agent clarification prompts, onboarding, surveys, and intake forms.

Toast and shadcn/typeset round out the UI toolkit. Toast is built on Base UI primitives, and typeset styles rendered markdown with one class, tuned via size, leading, and flow controls.
