Canvas field labels replaced content mapping, making document structure visible inline as you write — no side panel required.1
Canvas writes differently now. Inline purple headings tied to schema fields appear as you author, replacing the background AI process that continuously mapped content.2 AI labeling runs on demand; pushing to Studio is an explicit action. Conflicts surface field-by-field before any overwrite.
next-sanity v13 reworked live content delivery. cacheComponents: true unlocks 'use cache' support for sanityFetch with tag-based cache invalidation.3 Breaking: revalidateSyncTags is replaced by action; refreshOnFocus, refreshOnReconnect, and several opt-in props were removed.4 New onWelcome and onError="throw" props add lifecycle control and error boundary hooks.
Content Agent and the MCP server extended their reach. Content Agent can query, organize, and batch-update Media Library assets and collections.5 The MCP server's deploy_studio tool provisions or redeploys a hosted Studio bound to a managed schema; get_schema resolves managed schemas first.6 MCP v2.20.0 added a give_feedback tool for reporting tool errors or missing capabilities directly from your client.7
Blueprints added org-scoped stacks and Scheduled Functions. Run blueprints promote to lift a project-scoped stack to org scope.8 defineScheduledFunction handles cron-triggered tasks; enterprise User Attributes let GROQ filters reference user::attributes() for parameterized roles.910
React App SDK expanded its data surface. useAllReleases exposes release actions (create, schedule, publish) from the document store.11 useOrganization and useOrganizations return org metadata with optional member and feature inclusion.12 A token-refresh hang was fixed in v2.11.1.
Studio v5.25–v5.28 brought bug fixes across the board. Visual Editing fixes in v5.28 resolved a null reference error in the union-type resolver and stopped the Presentation tool from reloading the preview iframe on perspective switch.13 Earlier releases corrected Portable Text image preview aspect ratios, fixed date field validation visibility, and improved workspace routing.14
