Microsoft 365 Chat is now integrated into Microsoft 365 Copilot Search, letting users ask follow-up questions and generate content without leaving the search experience, and a Regenerate action returns alternative responses via Try Again or Switch Model. Admins can now edit query string and user identity mapping rules for Copilot connectors in connector settings, and SharePoint Advanced Management admins get an item-level report on permissions granted to "Everyone except external users."

Copilot chat responses in Excel now contain links that navigate directly to new sheets, tables, ranges, and objects, and Copilot usage details appear in the Show Changes pane. The Microsoft 365 admin center gains a dedicated License Requests page, and Copilot search adds email attachment pills and a Sort by date filter for Outlook Mail.

Edit with Copilot in Excel can now execute Python code for advanced analysis, automation, and data transformation with results output directly in the workbook. Copilot Chat is also available while using Copilot Search, and Outlook emails can be opened directly within full-app Copilot experiences.

Copilot connectors now run content crawl and identity crawl in parallel for faster content freshness, and ServiceNow Knowledge and Catalog connectors enforce role-based access permissions. Admins can designate SharePoint sites as authoritative sources prioritized in Copilot Search, Outlook adds drafting coaching feedback in chat, and classic Outlook for Windows gains meeting preparation support.

Microsoft 365 Copilot now surfaces rich images from files and meetings directly within responses, and Copilot Chat adds SharePoint Lists grounding, email attachment listing, and a built-in screenshot tool. OneNote Copilot notebooks get a redesigned Overview with crisper AI summaries, while extensibility adds ServiceNow Connector user mappings and SharePoint list support in Agent Builder.

Admins can now submit agents to the Agent Store from Agent Builder through a governed review and approval flow, and agents are accessible via Model Context Protocol in Office apps. The update also adds company-wide prompt publishing in Copilot Prompt Gallery, brand kits built from brand guidelines, and a unified look and feel in Microsoft Edge v.149.

Declarative agents like Analyst and Idea Coach can now run scheduled recurring prompts, and Copilot Notebooks can generate structured editable PowerPoint decks and interactive mind maps. Watermarks for AI-generated content can be enabled, agent tasks surface in the Windows taskbar, and generated files inherit sensitivity labels.

Anthropic's Claude is now available as a model option in Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat across Android, Windows, iOS, Mac, and Web. PowerPoint gains Black Forest Lab's FLUX.2 Flex model for visuals and Copilot explanations for shapes and images.

Organizational Messages usage-based targeting is generally available, delivering messages based on real user behavior and engagement patterns rather than static group membership, and Organizational Messages now supports email delivery alongside Windows Taskbar, Spotlight, Notification Center, and Teams Popovers. Microsoft 365 Copilot Studio adds expected responses for agent evaluation test cases and a Grader Framework using exact match, similarity, intent, and AI-based grading.

OpenAI's GPT-5.5 Instant and GPT-5.5 Thinking are now available in Copilot Chat across Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, and Web, with Instant offering more accurate, concise responses and Thinking adding deeper reasoning. Copilot Chat can also open PDFs in-app and pull email and thread text directly from Outlook into prompt context, and IT admins can enable Anthropic models for specific users and groups.

Edge contextual nudges now offer quick page summaries in Copilot Chat, and Viva Glint gains AI-generated survey insights with Copilot Highlights, which expands multilingual support at GA. Viva Insights also adds Power BI report publishing to anyone in the organization and Copilot configuration insights in the Copilot Dashboard Readiness page.

Admins can now control access to AI video generation features, and agents can be shared directly with a Teams team for discovery and install. Also added a customizable Employee Self-Service landing page and rich Bing web answer cards for Weather and Stocks in Copilot Chat.

Copilot Chat is now available in Teams chats, channels, and meetings, with mobile support coming soon. Code interpreter now analyzes files found via Chat search without manual upload or linking, and declarative agents can interpret embedded images in Word, PowerPoint, and PDF for richer answers.

Copilot connectors now support querying Coda docs and wikis, Bitbucket pull requests, and Zendesk Help Center support articles. Delegates can search another user's meetings in Copilot Chat, and Copilot Chat now recommends installed agents.

Copilot Chat now provides deep and inline citations for connector responses to show how answers from connected data sources are generated, and users can summarize and explain PDFs or ask Copilot from the Edge address bar. Other updates include expanded AI skill inferencing for E3 and E5 users, refreshed chat history filtering, Context IQ scoping of prompts to Teams channels, and a Shortcut connector for agile workflows.

Copilot gains connectors for Monday.com, WordPress.com and WordPress.org, Azure File Share, Veeva, and Jira Data Center. Copilot Search gets out-of-box filter support for data sources, and declarative agents gain grounding scoped to specific data sources and embedded knowledge support.

Copilot connectors now reach GitHub Server for issues, pull requests, and knowledge, plus Miro boards and diagrams. Connector authentication setup uses a faster guided OAuth experience, and the ServiceNow Tickets connector ingests both active and inactive tickets.

Copilot Chat's model selector now offers GPT-5.2 for faster responses or deeper reasoning, and existing Microsoft Foundry agents can be connected to Copilot and Teams via a proxy app built with the Microsoft 365 Agents Toolkit. Also added advanced understanding for comments and attachments in ServiceNow KB and Azure DevOps connectors, and admin-controlled Edge icon visibility via policy.

A new Library view in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app collects AI-generated images and pages in one place, and Agent Builder can build agents with GPT-5. Extensibility also adds Dropbox, Google Drive, Guru, and ServiceNow connectors, plus Office document generation from Copilot Studio lite agents.

All Copilot Chat experiences now run on GPT-5 by default, with prompts automatically routed to fast models for basic tasks and specialized reasoning models for multi-step requests. Copilot Studio Agent Builder now supports file uploads up to 512 MB for grounding agents.
