## Overview

Recently shipped a unified Copilot search-and-chat experience, Python execution in Excel, and Outlook drafting coaching.

**Copilot Search and Chat became one surface.**
- Microsoft 365 Chat now lives inside Copilot Search, so users move from finding information to follow-up questions, synthesized insight, and generated content in one flow; a chat side pane stays open while browsing search.
- Regenerate offers Try Again or Switch Model for an alternative answer.
- Outlook mail results show attachments as pills, sort by date, and open directly inside full-app Copilot Chat.

**Excel: Copilot runs Python and points at its own edits.**
- Edit with Copilot executes Python for advanced analysis, automation, and data transformation, writing results into the workbook.
- Chat responses link to the changed sheets, tables, ranges, and objects, and Copilot usage appears in the Show Changes pane.

**Outlook gained drafting coaching and meeting prep.** Copilot coaches as you draft, edit, and format email, with suggestions applied directly to the message across Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, and web. Classic Outlook for Windows prepares pre-reads and action items before meetings.

**Grounding widened across connectors and agents.**
- Viva Engage private community and event content grounds answers while respecting user privileges, and SharePoint Lists are selectable in Context IQ.
- ServiceNow knowledge and catalog connectors enforce role-based permissions; agents are reachable through Model Context Protocol in Office apps.
- Connector content and identity crawls now run in parallel, making ingested content available faster.

**Notebooks, screenshots, and a unified look.**
- OneNote's Copilot notebooks got a redesigned Overview with crisper summaries, key insights, and one-click artifacts.
- Copilot on Windows captures screenshots straight into prompts, and responses show rich images inline.
- Edge 149 brings a unified look across Copilot and Bing; brand kits build from brand guidelines in the Copilot app.
