Recently shipped coding environments that let Linear Agent set up, run, and test code — including in the browser — before returning work.

Coding sessions now run and test code. Linear Agent adapts to each codebase's configuration, detecting and installing the toolchains and dependencies it needs, with broader out-of-the-box support for Python, Ruby, Go, and more. Teams can pin runtime versions, add setup scripts, and define environment variables. Once the app is running, the agent verifies its work in the browser, navigating flows and capturing before-and-after screenshots. AI credit pricing is now lower and more transparent.

Team initiatives now carry a lead team. Assign a team to own an initiative, making responsibility clear. Initiatives led by private teams are visible only to members, enabling confidential planning. Enterprise-managed authorization for MCP lets admins control employee access via Okta.

Coding sessions work from mobile. Open any diff, switch to the Changes tab, and tap a line to add it to your message for Linear Agent. "My Issues → Assigned" shows delegated issues with session status. Guided Reviews reached general availability, generating reviews for larger pull requests with a bigger context window and better latency, plus GitHub team support.

Loops automate recurring workflows. Describe the job in plain language; loops review issues, dispatch to agents, or keep project specs current on a schedule or in response to events. Agent-assisted editing updates documents and project descriptions, with author indicators showing whether text came from a colleague or a loop.
