Coding sessions now set up, run, and test code, automatically adapting to each codebase's configuration with broader Python, Ruby, Go, and other language support. Browser testing lets the agent navigate and verify flows with before-and-after screenshots. Pricing moves to a lower-cost model charging provider-rate tokens plus a $0.25 per 20-minute sandbox runtime block, with workspace and per-user spend limits.

Initiatives can now be assigned a leading team, clarifying responsibility and contribution to company direction. Initiatives led by private teams are visible only to members, creating a secure space for confidential planning. Linear's MCP now supports Okta-managed employee access for Enterprise workspaces with SAML configured, applying existing permissions without individual sign-in.

Coding sessions now work on mobile, with code review and comment capability. GitHub Copilot users can assign issues from Linear to Copilot’s cloud agent. Guided Reviews are generally available, with larger context windows and better latency.

Documents and project descriptions now support agent-assisted editing, with author name indicators that flag text written by a colleague or a Loops automation. Edits made through Linear Agent highlight separately for easy review, and version history lets you restore any previous checkpoint. The issue sidebar has also been refreshed, with Diffs pinned to the top.

Loops let Linear Agent run recurring work on a schedule or in response to events, using context from the workspace to decide on the next best action. Available on Business and Enterprise plans, with $20 per seat in promotional AI credits through August 20, 2026.

Proposed and canceled statuses, priority, and labels are now available for initiatives. Enterprise workspaces using Okta can centrally manage Linear MCP access for Claude users. Filtered views can be shared via URL.

Linear Agent can now write code using Claude Code and Codex, enabling users to triage, plan, review, and ship within Linear. This feature allows cloud-based coding sessions that pull in workspace context, and enables automation for investigating and fixing new issues. Dozens of bug fixes are also included across agents, diffs, editor, and more.

Linear Diffs brings code review native to Linear, letting you review diffs from issues, iterate on changes with agents, and sync all reviews back to GitHub. Guided reviews (beta, Business/Enterprise) organize large PRs by core changes first, separating glue code to keep focus on what matters. A dedicated Reviews tab in the sidebar sorts work by proximity to shipping.
