Recently shipped sign-in via supported providers for 1Password for Claude and a simpler path to add accounts from 1Password.com.

1Password for Claude expanded its reach. Mac 8.12.34 adds sign-in with logins that use supported sign-in providers, alongside existing password and one-time code flows. Claude requests now show why access to a specific item is being asked before you approve.

Account setup is faster and less leaky. Adding a new account from 1Password.com no longer requires re-entering your password, Secret Key, or SSO verification code. Account details copied from the Manage Accounts pop-up are kept out of clipboard history.

iOS cleanup across Autofill. The Autofill pop-up's move-item option works again, and 1Password will stop filling an outdated password. Offline-item prompts appear more consistently for items that can't sync to your account. Buttons moved to the iOS 26 Liquid Glass style, and dragging large files into a Document item warns before uploading over metered connections.

Mac polish. The Safari browser extension reconnects to the app reliably, and passkey saves through Autofill present accounts and vaults more clearly. Saving a new item via Autofill also lists accounts and vaults better.
