1Password
npx @buildinternet/releases get 1passwordRecently shipped exact phrase search, a local MCP server in Developer settings, and password generation through Autofill without unlocking.
Developer tools expanded with local MCP server — The Developer tab now runs a local MCP server, letting AI assistants access 1Password Developer tools. Watchtower descriptions on the Developer homepage also now flag scanning for plaintext secrets including .env files and SSH keys.
Search and autofill refinements continue — Double-quoted queries match exact phrases including special characters like dots and dashes. iOS generates passwords through Autofill without requiring an unlock, and Mac's Universal Autofill handles native HTTP authentication prompts in browsers.
Developer settings consolidated — 1Password CLI, SDKs, and MCP integration are grouped under a single Developer section. The Developer Watchtower page now refreshes when toggling .env scanning, and a spurious .env import option no longer appears when Environments support is disabled.
Other improvements — Home screen no longer opens to All Accounts view with multiple accounts and one unlocked. Pre-filled Secret Keys save correctly when adding accounts from Found Accounts. Credential Exchange imports don't fail on field mismatches. Diagnostics submits via share sheet instead of default Mail app. Tapping Items tab again scrolls to top, and archived related items navigate properly.
