Docker build times dropped 60% after a series of infrastructure optimizations, adding to earlier gains for Python (27%) and Node.js (25%).

Build times fell across Docker, Node.js, and Python. Chunk size tuning, parallelized cache uploads, and on-disk version caching brought Docker median from 87s to 32s; Node.js median from 42s to 31s; Python median from 76s to 55s.

Zero-downtime canary pipeline for multi-service deploys. Using SuperPlane with Cloudflare and GitHub Actions, new versions deploy to an idle environment, receive a slice of real traffic, run verification checks, then promote automatically or roll back without manual intervention.

AWS access without long-lived credentials. Pro workspaces can now configure OIDC to authenticate Render services with AWS IAM, issuing and rotating credentials automatically at runtime.

Key Value instances gained configurable persistence. Paid instances now choose between journal+snapshot (default), snapshot-only, or fully off — reducing write overhead for cache-style workloads.

Ephemeral SSH sessions for safe one-off debugging. render ssh --ephemeral spins up an isolated instance using the same build artifact as production, executes no start command, and disappears when you disconnect.

Dedicated IPs available for Pro workspaces and above. Three static IPv4 addresses per region, scoped to a workspace or specific environments, for $100/month per set — simplifying allowlisting with external databases and regulated egress requirements.

Workspace plans dropped seat fees. Pro is now $25/month flat with unlimited team members; Scale is $499/month flat and adds SSO, SCIM, HIPAA-enabled workspaces, and advanced RBAC.

Render Workflows entered public beta with TypeScript and Python SDKs. Define durable tasks and chain them into long-running background processes; Render handles queuing, retries, state, and parallel execution.

CLI and agent tooling expanded. The Render Codex Plugin lets Codex deploy, debug, and monitor apps via structured playbooks. render services create lets developers and agents provision new services directly from the terminal.
