Reflection dashboard tracks usage; suggests breaks and goals
Anthropic is introducing a new reflection feature in beta that helps users track and visualize how they use Claude, and decide whether that usage aligns with their goals.
Features:
- Tracks Claude usage patterns over 1, 3, 6, or 12 months
- Provides summaries of key topics and types of tasks worked on
- Shows when users use Claude most
- Displays breakdown of time spent on different activities
- Surfaces reflective questions like "What's one thing you want to keep doing yourself, even if Claude could do it faster?"
- Allows users to set quiet hours or schedule nudges to take breaks
AI Fluency Framework: The reflection dashboard uses the 4D AI Fluency Framework to help users build new skills:
- Delegation: Setting goals and deciding whether/how to engage with AI
- Description: Effectively describing goals to prompt useful AI behaviors
- Discernment: Accurately assessing usefulness of AI outputs
- Diligence: Taking responsibility for what we do with AI and how we do it
Users receive a summary of their Claude activity across each dimension with examples and practical suggestions.
Privacy:
- Doesn't draw from incognito chats
- Doesn't pull underlying files from connected tools
- Conversations connected to health integration tools are excluded
- Information stays in the reflection dashboard and isn't used for other purposes
- Developed with input from MIT Media Lab's Advancing Humans with AI program, Digital Wellness Lab at Boston Children's Hospital, and Family Online Safety Institute
Availability:
- Currently available in beta for Free, Pro, and Max users with Memory enabled
- Access via Settings in Claude on web or desktop app
- Reflecting on Cowork conversations coming soon
