B2B discounts are now enabled by default for new B2B stores and eligible existing stores

Previously, stores had to contact Shopify Support to activate discounts for B2B. Now, discounts for B2B are activated automatically, so you can create automatic discounts and discount codes for your B2B customers right away.

What's changing

  • New stores using B2B: Discounts for B2B are activated by default. No setup step is required.
  • Existing B2B stores without active or scheduled discounts: Discounts for B2B are being activated automatically, so you can start using them without contacting Shopify Support.

Targeting B2B and non-B2B customers at checkout

Use the Eligibility section in the discount details page to control which customers can use a discount:

  • Select Markets, and then choose a B2B company location market to make the discount available to B2B customers.
  • Select Markets, and then choose a Region market to make the discount available to all non-B2B customers.

Important to know

For stores where discounts for B2B are newly activated, any discount that's eligible for All customers, Specific customers, or Customer segments applies to all customers (B2B and and non-B2B customers) by default, unless you assign specific markets to the discount's eligibility settings.
