Reliability: where things stand
Two separate infrastructure issues occurred:
- Last week: Outages affecting core dictation from vendor failures and scaling issues
- This week: Backend instability affecting different users
Response actions:
- Reallocating engineering resources to focus on stability
- Re-evaluating vendors and onboarding additional ones for redundancy
- Testing rollback on recent setting with unintended effects
- Developing upgraded speech recognition model
Building redundancy so a single provider failure doesn't impact Flow.
