GPT-6, powered by GPT-6 Sol, and Intelligent UI are rolling out in Chat to eligible Business workspaces, depending on workspace access and supported clients. Intelligent UI can combine text, visuals, and interactive elements, with responses beginning while ChatGPT continues thinking before adding more detail, available with GPT-6 at Instant through Extra High on supported clients.

Workspace owners and admins can now manage plugins and plugin marketplaces from Admin console by selecting their workspace and opening Plugins or Marketplaces. Apps stay under Workspace settings > Apps, reachable via Manage Legacy Apps on the Plugins page, and existing permissions and app access controls still apply.

ChatGPT Business members can build private workspace Sites using supported connected apps, with read-only access approved by each teammate and organization approval required. Admins must enable "Allow use in Sites" per plugin, a setting that is off by default, and visitor access cannot be reused by background scheduled tasks.

@ChatGPT is now available for ChatGPT Business in Slack and Microsoft Teams, where you can DM it or mention it in an enabled channel to ask questions, summarize discussions, or draft work with teammates. It can use company information and tools connected by your administrator, and your organization must install and enable it first.

ChatGPT Business workspaces can create teams to group coworkers and share Pages or entire Spaces with them, plus shared plugins and recurring team tasks, subject to workspace permissions. Team membership does not automatically share personal chats or app connections and does not override organization access controls.

ChatGPT Business workspace administrators can configure app connections for teams to use with approved tools and recurring tasks, so each teammate does not need to connect the same provider account separately. Sharing a plugin and granting access to an app connection are separate settings.

Team tasks let users share recurring work with teammates in ChatGPT, running on a schedule or supported trigger using approved company tools. Authorized teammates can review results and update instructions together, and the feature is available in ChatGPT Business workspaces subject to workspace permissions.

Global admins in ChatGPT Business organizations can now manage whether ChatGPT Sites can use members' connected apps and whether applications can access ChatGPT Ads, from a redesigned External access page in the OpenAI Admin Console. Both new permissions are off by default during the admin preview, and members must still authorize access using their own permissions.

Voice now supports plugins and connected apps on web, iOS, and Android, with written responses following in the chat. Voice is also available in Work on web and mobile, and an unfinished task can continue in text after a Voice call ends.

Privacy Center is rolling out to signed-in ChatGPT Business users, consolidating information about chat privacy, memory, personalization, data use, connected apps, and account security with links to the settings that manage them. Privacy controls remain in ChatGPT Settings; access it from the account menu under Help on web, or from Settings on iOS and Android.

ChatGPT for Word is available for ChatGPT Business, letting users draft from notes, summarize documents, revise selected text, and adjust headings and formatting from the sidebar. Workspace admins can toggle Word access in the admin console, Microsoft 365 admins must also allow the add-in, and starting Oct 1, 2026 Word access will be enabled by default; usage is billed at API token rates.

In the ChatGPT desktop app for macOS and Windows, typed requests can now be sent from the floating Pets controls and task progress checked without opening the main window. Choose Mini in Settings > Pets to use the controls without a companion, and open Quick Chat with Option+Space on macOS or Windows+Alt+P on Windows.

Appshots are now available on Windows: pressing both Alt keys shares the frontmost app's window with ChatGPT, including a screenshot and any text the app makes available, which can extend beyond the visible area. The shortcut and destination chat are configurable in settings, and organization Appshots settings still apply.

Codex CLI 0.154.0 adds experimental support for starting or forking tasks in separate Git worktrees, with browsing, resuming, and answering questions inline while Codex continues working. The update also preserves formatting when copying responses and refreshes plugin tools in existing sessions.

ChatGPT Business admins can use Model Test in the Admin Console under Models > Test to see which models a member can access and which settings contribute to that access, searching by name or email. Testing does not grant access, change permissions or usage limits, or override seat type or workspace plan.

When starting a remote worktree you can choose a branch or include current local changes, with setup continuing in the background via a Live Activity on iOS 26.

Deep Research in Work investigates complex questions using the web, files, and supported connected apps, asking clarifying questions and producing a cited deliverable. Members with Work or Codex access start it by typing @Deep Research on web, desktop, iOS, or Android, subject to workspace access settings and app permissions, and it draws on the existing Work/Codex allowance or workspace credits.
