Work agent for research, analysis, document creation; Plugin Directory replaces App Directory

ChatGPT Work is an agent for longer, more involved tasks. It can research and analyze information, work across connected apps and files, and create finished documents, spreadsheets, presentations, reports, and Sites. You can follow its progress, answer questions, change direction, and approve important actions as it works.

Work can also keep projects moving through Scheduled Tasks that run once, repeat on a schedule or trigger, or monitor for changes.

On web and mobile, Work is rolling out to paid plans except Free and Go. Pro, Pro Lite, Enterprise, and Edu users receive access first; Plus and Business users will follow over the coming days.

We're also replacing the App Directory with the Plugin Directory. Existing app connections are unaffected. Plugins can package skills, apps, and app templates for specific workflows, and are available from ChatGPT on web and desktop, including Work and Codex.
