The brand-new Recommendation Network is designed to help you grow faster, earn more, and get more out of the beehiiv ecosystem.

Back at Morning Brew, I built a growth engine that scaled the newsletter to over 3,000,000 subscribers.

Some of our biggest growth wins came from partnering with other newsletter brands. That experience became the foundation for Recommendations, one of the first features we built at beehiiv.

Then we introduced Boosts, which turned Recommendations into a paid growth channel. Newsletters looking to grow could pay to acquire new subscribers, and newsletters with engaged audiences could monetize by recommending others.

Once the flywheel started to spin, it quickly picked up momentum. Over 15,000,000 subscriptions have been created to date via Recommendations and Boosts. But we knew we were just scratching the surface…

That's why today we're introducing the next evolution of our Recommendation Network. It combines Recommendations and Boosts into a single unified experience with better discovery, smarter insights, and more powerful automations.

But before we jump in: We're hosting the Summer Release Event 2026 on July 16th (next Thursday). If you like these updates, you're going to LOVE what we have in store for you next. It's a free, 30-minute virtual event → RSVP .

Now let's get started 👇

Today, beehiiv is home to over 60,000 active creators and publishers. There have never been more opportunities to discover and promote great newsletters, and accelerate your subscriber growth in return.

The new Recommendation Network has two sides:

  • Outgoing Recommendations → the newsletters you recommend to your audience.

  • Incoming Recommendations → the newsletters sending new subscribers your way.

Let's start with Outgoing Recommendations. Search for the newsletters you already know and love, or discover new ones across the beehiiv ecosystem.

Then, add these newsletters to your list of active recommendations with just a click.

You can also add paid recommendations, which open up an entirely new revenue stream. You'll get paid automatically for every qualified subscriber you send.

Once you choose your Outgoing Recommendations, they'll appear for new readers right after they sign up. After submitting their email, readers will see the option to subscribe to a few of the newsletters you recommend.

Add as many Outgoing Recommendations as you'd like, and you can show up to four at a time to new readers.

You're always in control of which newsletters appear in each slot, with flexible settings to prioritize and manage your recommendations:

  • Shuffle: Randomly shuffles through your available recommendations.

  • Pinned: Always shows a specific newsletter.

  • Smart: We'll automatically fill the slot with relevant newsletters.

  • Your publication: Features another publication in your account.

  • None: Leaves the slot blank for now.

Outgoing recommendations matter because reciprocity is what drives the network. In fact, newsletters that recommend others are 32x more likely to be recommended back. Said differently: what goes around, comes around. 💫

You'll see that momentum in your Incoming Recommendations. When you recommend other newsletters, they're notified and can easily return the favor. If there are specific newsletters you'd love to be recommended by, you can also invite them directly.

As more publications recommend you, you'll see those referrals, subscribers, and network effects come to life in your Incoming Recommendations dashboard.

Looking to turbocharge your subscriber growth? You can add funds to the Recommendation Network and pay others to promote your newsletter.

Creating an offer is simple:

  • Name your price: Set the amount you're willing to pay per qualified subscriber.

  • Choose your audience: Add geographic targeting to reach the right readers.

  • Set your budget: Decide how much you want to spend.

Once your offer is live, other publishers can apply to recommend your newsletter. Approve the publications you want, and reject the ones that aren't the right fit.

Don't want to wait for applications or invite publishers one by one? Turn on Auto-Accept. We'll distribute your offer across the network to publications that match your criteria, helping you scale faster with less manual work.

And to keep that momentum going, consider Auto-Deposit. We'll automatically add funds on a set schedule, based on your balance. For example, if your remaining balance dips below $50, you can configure Auto-Deposit to add additional funds.

No matter how you set up paid recommendations, you're only ever charged for verified subscribers who are actively engaging with your content. It's subscriber growth with a money-back guarantee.

Plus, you'll have full visibility into what's working. Our dashboards make it easy to track performance, double down on the publishers driving results, and cut the ones that aren't.

Whether you're looking to drive revenue or accelerate your growth, the new Recommendation Network is the most powerful growth engine ever built for newsletters. Period.

Activate Recommendations

Note: The Recommendation Network is available to all users on all plans, but generating revenue or acquiring subscribers through Paid Recommendations requires a paid plan. You can learn more and/or upgrade here.

Newsletter Lists

Let's say you publish your newsletter Monday through Friday. If you wanted to launch a new weekend edition, you have a few options:

  1. You could create a new segment for readers who want to receive the weekend issue.

  2. Or, you could create an entirely new publication specifically for the weekend edition.

But both options create tradeoffs.

With option one, subscribers who don't want the weekend issue might unsubscribe and get removed from your main list, the same list you send to Monday through Friday.

And with option two, you're stuck configuring an entirely new publication: new landing pages, new settings, and all the extra overhead that comes with it.

That's why we're introducing Newsletter Lists. You can now create multiple lists inside a single publication, each with its own subscription preferences, automations, forms, and more.

To get started, head to Audience > Newsletter Lists, then click Create a Newsletter List.

From there, you'll walk through a simple three-step setup.

When you create a new post, you can choose exactly which of your Newsletter Lists should receive it. And Lists work across all major features, including automations, segments, recommendations, and the API.

Subscribers can also manage their own preferences and opt out of individual lists without unsubscribing from your entire publication.

Note: Newsletter Lists are available to users on Max and Enterprise plans. You can learn more and/or upgrade here.

Linktree Integration

You can now connect your beehiiv account to Linktree and capture new subscribers directly from your link-in-bio page.

Millions of top creators, including many of you, use Linktree to help audiences discover, follow, and support their work. And now, beehiiv plugs directly into that flow, making it easy to turn the attention you're already earning into newsletter growth.

Getting started is simple:

  1. Head to Audience > Integrations in Linktree and connect beehiiv.

  2. Grant access and select the publication you want to sync.

  3. Add an email signup form to your Linktree page.

It takes just seconds to turn your Linktree into a growth engine, giving your audience one simple place to discover your newsletter, subscribe, and stay connected.

Connect Your Linktree

Tyler here (cofounder/CEO) 👋. Writing these product updates is genuinely one of my favorite parts of the job. It gives me a chance to share what we've been building, why it matters, and how it helps you grow.

But next week, we're doing something a little bigger.

On Thursday, July 16, we're hosting the beehiiv Summer Release Event 2026. It's 30 minutes, fully virtual, and free to attend.

We'll be announcing a set of products that our team has been working on for a long time. I don't say this lightly: this is one of the most important releases we've ever shipped. I look forward to seeing you there.

Podcast Analytics Prefixes

beehiiv now supports third-party podcast analytics prefixes, making it easy to connect external providers for deeper reporting across audience insights, attribution, industry rankings, and more.

Prefixes are completely optional and don't change the listener experience.

To get started, head to your podcast settings. From there, you can select from supported providers or paste in a custom prefix URL from your analytics partner. We currently support all major platforms.

Ready to join the thousands of creators already running their podcast business on beehiiv? Getting started is easy:

  • Launch your podcast. Add your show details, publish your first episode, and start reaching your audience beyond the inbox.

  • Already have a podcast? You can cut that subscription and migrate your entire archive over to beehiiv in just a few minutes.

Custom URL Parameters

URL parameters are what get appended to links in your newsletter, helping you share data with external systems, analytics tools, or advertisers.

For example, if you're running a sponsored campaign, you might add a UTM parameter like ?utm_campaign=july2026, so the advertiser can track performance and attribution.

Previously, you could only add a select set of standard parameters. Now, you can create custom URL parameters for whatever you need.

Want to pass hashed identifiers to advertisers or platforms like Meta and Google? Append custom fields? Build more advanced attribution workflows?

Now you can.

You can now set custom URL parameters globally in your publication settings, so they're automatically applied across your newsletter links.

And of course, we've built in privacy guardrails to block sensitive parameters and help keep subscriber data protected.
