Several Codex updates including:

  • Eligible Business users can send Codex invitations from the profile menu and receive referral bonuses when recipients join the workspace and send their first Codex message. Admins and owners can control this feature via Workspace settings > Permissions & Roles.

  • Added Developer mode for Browser use in Chrome and the Codex in-app browser. Developer mode enables controlled Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP) access for performance profiling and debugging of network traffic, console output, runtime errors, DOM state, and applied styles. Turned off by default and can be enabled from Codex app settings. Admins and owners can disable it from Codex cloud settings.

  • Additional features: /init command in app composer for generating AGENTS.md scaffold, per-app access controls for Computer Use on Windows, clearer usage-limit errors with workspace guidance and reset timing, and new Unread chats section in command menu.
