Updated the ChatGPT desktop app to make it easier to choose between Chat and Work, find conversations and Projects, and continue Work across devices. Now live for all plans on macOS and Windows.

Key updates:

  • Clearer desktop layout with global switcher to choose between ChatGPT and Codex
  • Unified Recents showing Chat and Work conversations together with sort, filter, and pin options
  • Projects now appear in the desktop app with ability to start Chat conversations or Work threads using Project context
  • Cloud Work conversations now sync across web, mobile, and desktop
  • Codex remains a separate view with unchanged workflows and history
