Figma and Notion both added iPhone Duo support within days of each other, Linear turned Loops into event-driven automations with Slack and GitHub triggers, and Slack pushed a desktop update it strongly recommends installing for security.

The new iPhone shows up in design and note-taking

Apple's newest hardware arrived in two of the collection's apps the same week. Figma added frame presets for iPhone Duo and iPhone 18, available anywhere you pick a mobile frame in design and prototyping — no more hand-sizing an artboard to a device that hasn't shipped yet. Notion for iOS followed with iPhone Duo support across several app updates, plus the usual bug fixes and performance work, and a further round of those fixes at the end of the week. The pattern is familiar: when a screen changes shape, every tool that renders content for it has to catch up fast. If you're building for the new device, both are now ready.

Loops grow up

Linear's headline feature stopped waiting to be asked. Loops can now be triggered by Slack events and GitHub activity, so a question in a channel or a PR marked ready for testing can start product work without anyone noticing and kicking it off. The same update lets you save a loop as a workspace template from its menu, so a workflow one person builds becomes something the whole team can reuse, and adds Auto, Low, Medium, and High reasoning levels to trade speed against cost and complexity per task. Linear Agent also gained the ability to read and update Figma designs through the Figma MCP server, and issues now sync with PRs in Cursor Origin repos. Separately, Linear Mobile picked up bug fixes and minor improvements.

Security first for Slack

Slack's desktop client shipped an update with significant security improvements, and the release notes don't hedge: updating is strongly recommended. Don't wait for the auto-updater to get around to it. The web client's habitual round of under-the-hood fixes was quieter, with nothing user-visible to report.

Admin controls, SDK types, and a friendlier Discord

Figma's Enterprise admins got more ways to manage paid AI credit usage, support collaboration, and automate everyday workflows, alongside routine bug fixes. On the API side, the Notion JS SDK now returns a read-only default_option on status property configs, naming the option shown when a page has no explicit status — useful for rendering, but the field is required on the response type, so hand-built fixtures and test objects need it added. Discord, meanwhile, made organizing servers less fiddly: right-click "Move to…" for servers, channels, and folders replaces drag-and-drop, uploaded .md files render with real tables and formatting, Nitro members get 1GB uploads and six months of discounted YouTube Premium, and the image and video engine was rewritten in Rust for better color accuracy and reliability.
