Ramp shifted focus toward automating the friction points around expense capture and management. Smart contract detection and renewal routing brought spend governance upstream, while receipt automation expanded across devices—iOS camera roll scanning with Apple Intelligence and OAuth-enabled Gmail matching on individual accounts eliminated manual submission workflows. Supporting infrastructure landed too: dynamic custom groups let admins codify user permissions by business logic rather than manual rosters, bank account nicknames reduced friction for multi-account setups, and the Accounting Agent graduated to direct ERP reconciliation.
Receipt automation picked up pace with two new capture paths. The iOS app now uses Apple Intelligence to scan camera rolls for receipts and match them to transactions, while employees gained the ability to connect personal Gmail accounts via OAuth for automatic inbox matching—both requiring zero admin intervention.
