## Overview

Recently shipped usage commands across workspaces, Railpack build cache for private registries, and static-site detection for Next.js and Expo Web. 

**Railway CLI now exposes usage limits and workspace-level commands.** 
- `railway usage` and `railway usage limit` let developers set and monitor targeted usage caps (#1004), while `railway workspace usage` reports workspace-wide consumption (#1001). 
- `railway config pull` now preserves region maps during import (#1012). 
- Per-project targeting was added to `railway status` (#988), and the autoupdate check window was reduced (#987). 
- Registry credentials for repo services are no longer sent when stale (#1002).

**Railpack's build command gained private registry support and SPA detection.** 
- `railpack build` now accepts BuildKit cache import/export via `--cache-from` and `--cache-to` and pulls credentials from the Docker CLI config, enabling builds from and pushes to private registries. 
- Deno versions can now be pinned with a `.deno-version` file, and `RAILPACK_PYTHON_VERSION`, `RAILPACK_RUBY_VERSION`, and `RAILPACK_DENO_VERSION` environment variables correctly override local config. 
- Next.js projects configured for static export (`output: 'export'`) are now detected and served as SPAs with Caddy, honoring `Staticfile` settings. Expo Web projects with static or single output in `app.json` are also served as SPAs from `dist`. 
- npm fetch retries default to 5 (`NPM_CONFIG_FETCH_RETRIES=5`) for build reliability.

**Python's Poetry installation route changed to improve environment integration.** 
- Poetry is now installed via mise's native package instead of pipx, improving environment integration. Mise updated across multiple releases to v2026.7.6.

**Railpack's `en_US.UTF-8` locale, `tzdata`, and Elixir fixes.** 
- Apps depending on locale-aware behavior (Python, Ruby, etc.) now work out of the box. Elixir 1.20 correctly maps to Erlang 29.
