Recently shipped 2026.10.4, which survives sleep and clock jumps, plus a 2026.10.10 beta that cuts Gateway database work.

**The Gateway no longer restarts itself after sleep or a clock jump.** 2026.10.4 keeps it running when its ownership heartbeat looks stale, stops shutdown and restart hanging on stalled transcript workers, and makes manual `/compact` settle the active run instead of dropping the pending request.

**Tlon group DMs stopped treating other participants as the owner**, closing an owner-impersonation path. Headless browser pages keep accepting clicks and key presses while a site waits for a passkey.

**The 2026.10.10 beta moves Gateway work off the main thread.** Chat turns, session lists, startup, and idle Gateways do far less SQLite work, keeping busy hosts responsive.

**Update recovery filled in across platforms.**
- pnpm 12 installs keep their Gateway service and launcher on the durable install path; macOS updates no longer time out on aliased temporary directories.
- Updates settle journals after filesystem remounts, ride out a briefly locked state database, and stop reporting false post-install failures.
- Doctor preserves installed plugins' configuration when path safety checks block them.
- ChatGPT-listed models no longer fail before sending a request on the default Codex runtime.

**Plugins now install and reload without restarting the Gateway** (2026.9.5), and Doctor preserves session history across repairs. The 2026.10.1 beta fixed inline local video playback and speech-only replies with reasoning enabled.

**Extended-stable carried current flagship models.** 2026.8.33 added Meta Muse Spark 1.3, Anthropic Fable 5.1, OpenAI GPT-6 Astra, and GPT Image 2.5, plus the full GPT-5.6 family with Ultra reasoning; 2026.9.33 consolidated September's security and reliability fixes. An OpenAI Agents API plugin runs agents on OpenAI-hosted or self-hosted environments.
